The Regatta Cafe will be running a Friday BBQ throughout the day EVERY Friday during the month of August for members and anyone attending a course and their families and friends.
The BBQ will be available from mid-day until the evening.
The last thing you want to do is go home and cook, so why not stay at Alton Water and have something to eat before heading home? Our chef, Ian will be offering mouth-watering dishes to tempt you to stay and enjoy the marvellous Alton scenery to round off a perfect day.
The Regatta Cafe will remain open for orders until 7.30pm to allow you plenty of time to satisfy your hunger.
As many members will realise, the AWSC cafe is under new management.Having had very little notice to take over and plan, the initial aim was to keep things ticking over and to provide regular opening times. This the team have done and now it's time to move onto Phase 2.
The cafe has changed its name to "The Regatta Cafe" and has recently appointed two new chefs, Ian Hetzel who formally worked at the Belstead Brook Hotel and Ben Nessling who has come to us from The Alex in Felixstowe. Both bring a wealth of experience from their former employers and will be offering a more varied and high quality menu. We wish them both every success at The Regatta Cafe.
As a result of feedback from a recently conducted membership survey, which is on-going, we are going to be making a number of changes. These include;
We will be making these changes as soon as is practically possible and would like to thank all members who responded to the survey. Member survey forms are still available and these will continue to be reviewed.

Well done to all those who competed in the Autumn Race Series, especially
those who took to the water in some very challenging conditions. Congratulations to all the winners.
Special thanks to all those who helped make this a successful series, especially the volunteers, Nigel, John and Emer.
Thanks again to The Servery for providing their usual super food
which kept sailors and spectators well fed and watered.
