Extraordinary General Meeting - Monday 12 September, 7pm at Alton Water

10 Aug 2016

Extraordinary General Meeting -  Monday 12 September, 7pm at Alton Water

Dear Member,

Following our last general meeting we have consulted on a draft constitution to enable us to begin our conversion to charitable status.  Having taken advice we now believe that this document provides the right balance enabling users, via a newly formed Management Committee, to appoint charity trustees.  The draft constitution is available on this website by following this link

To move further forward the directors need to seek approval to wind up AWSC once the Charity Commission have approved our application.

To bring you up-to-date a further EGM will take place on Monday 12 September at 7pm at Alton Water.  The Agenda is as follows:

1.       Update on draft constitution and way forward what this means for you.

2.       Transferring assets and staff from AWSC to new Charity

3.       Formal winding up proposal

4.       Any other business

All members are invited to this meeting and we look forward to seeing you there.

Mark Hainsworth

Chair of AWSC Directors
