TVSC is a newly emerging club growing as a result of Anglian Water’s takeover of operations at Alton Water. We organise racing on Alton Water Reservoir throughout the year and have a special commitment to the development of sailing and racing skills of all ages of sailor.
We are currently a small but growing band of sailors relying on members performing rescue boat and race officer duties to enable our programme to be delivered. Membership is open to all those who have paid their water access fee to Anglian Water.
Apart from our racing and coaching programme we can offer sailors new to the sport an inland spot to develop their skills. This environment although inland is one of the highest points locally and not surprisingly provides good breezes throughout the year. Its an excellent spot for youngsters to gain confidence and skills . The inland location develops excellent wind awareness and boat handling skills.
Whilst we offer competitive sailing and a number of coaching sessions our landlords Anglian Water offer a range of courses to all ages across a wide range of watersports.
We have access to the watersports centre with large changing rooms and a welcoming cafe with excellent views over the lake for those who watch.
